Beautiful, Liz.  Soft petals.

Love how you did the background, too.

:thankyou: MEA, VAL, EMMALEE, & HAPPY CHAPPY for helping me to feel good about the hibiscus I almost trashed.  All of the mini paintings have been painted on acrylic/canvas paper, but I don't even like to waste cheap supplies.  I had to rough it with this one because the reference photo had thin red and light orange lines like veins on the petals which I didn't like so I had to wing it.  I was glad to finish it because it brought back memories of my dad grafting yellow hibiscus on his neighbor's old hibiscus hedge that never had any blossoms before!  The yellow hibiscus is Hawaii's state flower. ~Liz

I tried doing the water from 2 different reference photos, but it wasn't a good idea.  I wanted more wet water on the sand but had too much white water coming from the surf making it too rough so I repainted it that part and added more sand instead.  :P ~Liz

Great job, Liz.  The water looks really good.
