I have just been using the regular old-fashioned BOSTON sharpener all the years with success.

Maryna, I have had limited success with sharpeners especially with Conte pencils as they are fat.  I totally favor using a one sided razor blade to sharpen as you can get a long point of any shape you want.  I'll have to look up what Dennis uses.
