I've been working on this waaay too long!

Something for the 4th of July and for my 2018 calendar. I was going to call it "Lonely Beach," but that seemed too depressing for a holiday.

Lonely beach...... considering the 4th of July coming, more likely the calm before the storm!  ;D   Mum had one of these for sitting out in the backyard, I loved that chair, so comfy. Really well done.

Thank you!

Yes, the stripes were a bit of a challenge. I also changed the colors for the holiday. In the ref photo they were all one color. I also added the half-buried shovel and pail, for a small point of interest.

:flowers: :flowers: :flowers: SUSAN, Another title for your beautiful patriotic painting- Waiting to Celebrate'.  Folks were buying up wieners and hot dog buns at Costco today, among other picnic/party foods.  We take our freedoms for granted, but they came at a great price and we still have 'fight' to protect and keep them at all costs for all people. ~Liz

Sue--Love this and so well done.  I am a tad confused by the top left blue chair which seems to have a leg coming through the seat of the blue chair behind it.  Very minor issue but keeps drawing my eye over there.  Have a wonderful 4th and stay safe!

Lynn, I'm pretty sure each diagonal board is connected to another one, but, yes, it does get confusing. Here's the original, in B&W. (I somehow couldn't get the colored one to load).

LOVE THIS!!! I love your 4th of July themed paintings, Susan - I still remember the one you did of the flip flops!!  Instead of lonely beach, how about "Patriotic Beach"?
Cheers,
Sharon
