Continuing practicing a looser style...I did this as a practice piece.  I may have added a bit too much detail....I appreciate your comments on this.  I find this to be such fun.....and rather addicting..

:heeha: Lovely Mary Lou! The soft colourings and the light just touching the petals here and there. The detailing is perfect, just the right amount. So well done, this one is calling for a frame. Brilliant piece.  O0

:smitten:  Your peonies are lovely, Marylou. I'm not an expert on watercolor but I find your balance of softness and gentle detail perfectly balanced.

Mary Lou, this is BEAUTIFUL!  It looks nothing like 'practice'; it looks like a picture of perfection, like composed with awesome color and detail until the moment it was completed.  I have never experienced using water colors, only water color pencils with my granddaughter Emily.  I do remember the magic of going over some pencil lines with a brush dipped in water, but never had the fun you mentioned with water color paint!  Frame your masterpiece right away!

Thank you so much Patricia, Liz and Teresa.   :thankyou: Liz, watercolor is such fun, all the while painting this, I kept telling my husband how much fun  I was having. I remember a story, not sure where I heard it, or from whom, but a woman asked an artist how he created such a beautiful painting and he replied, "this?, oh, my, I was only having fun!"...
