This is my imaginary safe place.
When i was small, like alot of others my homelife was not very happy. I was a solitary child who entertained herself. I imagine this island far away , it was so quiet just the music of the water and occasional bird . The sky was always that lovely pink colour like sunset or sunrise. I use to go there when arguments were going on in the house , i also use to go there when i had a boring lesson at school :D
This is where i go when i want to hide!

This is my experiment with a brush and inks. Its not very good but val said show warts and all

this is my safe place

Good on you for posting.  O0   Sorry, I'm not seeing overly well at the moment as my face is quite 'ballooned' on one side. Hopefully someone will come along shortly to comment for you. I'll be back when the swelling subsides...or the drugs where off!  :crazy2:
Cheers, Val

Hope your getting better val,

I received an email from Janet, i thought she would reply, i could tell she was approachable. She has given me some advice, it differs quite alot of vic bearcroft uk artist but to be honest having seen her  working , what she has told me makes sense to me. So although vics technique worked reasonable ok with my black car exercise i think Janet's technique will suit be better.. watch pastel encourager sometime in the near future lol
Take care

I like your idea of having a place to hide, even if it is in your imagination, Abbiteya. This is a good start with pen and ink. Dennis has lovely lessons, in this too.
Life is more exciting with art....
