Now...this is out of my comfort zone for sure!
I love Klimt...so he kind of inspired me to use the gold.
I used acrylic paint, fine texture paste, made the red petals and the gold highlights out of acrylic skins, charcoal drawings to depict kind of cherry trees and gel for the leaves. It is on a watercolour canvas.
It's kind of impressionistic...kind of!

Wow Terri. The head in the full painting had me wondering a bit. Just sort of 'sitting' there.  ???

The cropped painting looks positively beautiful.  O0   Excellent.

Thanks Val...I kind of wanted it to look like a panel in a screen....
The bottom is supposed to be her kimono....with her arms outstretched...kind of...'impressionistic '?
Anyhoo...it is something different.  :2funny:

Terri - I love your creative use of the gold, ala Klimt - one of my favorite artists! I agree with Val, though - at first I though her head was on a table covered with a gorgeous cloth.  I think cropping it to be just the head shot makes it really work well. Good job!
Cheers,
Sharon
