I would like to express my gratitude to Dennis and Nolan for teaching me how to paint. I did look at this photo taken by Debra Duke for the last 2.5 years, and I had not have the courage to start until about 3 weeks ago. Finally today I finished it and signed it. I thank you so much for the patience you had with me all along. :thankyou: :flowers:

Wow, it's great, Doina.  Love the shirt!

I don't think I could ever get up enough courage to paint it.

Great job, Doina! I painted this image a couple of years ago and it's now hanging in City Hall - one of our councilmembers bought it! Frame it and I bet yours well sleep quickly!!

Thank you so much for your kind words Val,mea, Trev, Terri, Patricia, Win, Bhavna, Annie, Sharon. I am a slow painter. It took me 3 weeks until I finished it. A lot of stops and long looks at. I really wish I can paint more! A lot of time is taken away from me by tasks at the art center, and at the village I am living at; a lot of gardening !!!! Thank you again :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

Doina--I know this photo well as I too have studied it and thought about painting it!  You have done a totally brilliant job.  I agree with all the others that you have become a very accomplished artist.  I am also so happy that you have so many other important tasks---Life is about contributing, no?  Please keep showing us what you are doing :smitten: :smitten:

It's an impressive piece of work... Well done. I do love it when someone posts a piece like this one and says that once they were beginners... It makes me feel I might make it one day too.  And, yes, ordinary chores and social commitments do get in the way of painting....I sometimes neglect the chores.  Looking forward to seeing your nexr masterpiece. :painting:
