:) I'm guilty of almost posting it  I will post it soon I should have sat on my hands a couple of days ago when thinking I will fix it.  Night time makes a lot of difference with me as we have to fix the lighting situation. I have a look in the daytime and alter

Looking forward to yours. Cath and Val!
Lajets, you are right- having a look at the painting in daylight is so important. I did mine with a daylight lamp at night and the colours were too dark in the daylight. I could not alter it anymore. I think daylight plays an enormous role in differentiating colours. Looking forward to yours!

Well here it is hmm I could keep going for hours and probably never happy. never mind.

Although I did learn I had to much background for the flower so when I altered the boarder line how much the background didn't overtake the flower

I think its pretty darn good. Great job Lajets!

The shading is awesome. Love those pinks at edges.
The only thing is the background has little light effect. So the depth is showing little to make the flower pop out more.

 Your painting shows careful observation of the subject, nice rendering Lajet. Your solution to minimize the background by altering the edges is clever.  O0

 Gita and Lajets, both of your submissions are beautiful and uniquely different from each other. It will be difficult to chose when voting.
