I did this idea preparation sketch some time ago.  It's on blank newsprint.  I went to the local newspaper and bought an end roll for a dollar.  It's great for the grand kids to draw on and will last for many years.

Last night I darkened the sketch with a 9B and thought I'd post it.  I'll have to sketch out the back section on another piece and move it around to see what works best for what I have in mind.

Cool, Stony.  In Hawaii, we'd make it an outrigger canoe.

Your grandkids will love having the newsprint for drawing.

I agree with Val, its going to be interesting to see your complete idea on this.
