this painting is acrylics on a small canvas.  I painted over this several times but just couldn't get succulents correct.  There were going to be many more but they drove me mad  :tickedoff: Couldn't get the cupping feature of the petals.  In the end i just finished it off by painting pebbles everywhere around them.

Teresa

Wish I could offer advice but I would have the same problem.

You did a great job on the pebbles!

Maybe you are being too critical in assessing your painting. You may have started out with a particular image and result in mind but somewhere along the line the painting lead you on another track. That doesn't mean it isn't a successful painting.

This is a lovely little painting Teresa.  O0 I've changed over to my tablet as I can see the colours better than on my laptop. I can see the shaping of the petals/leaves quite well. Some of them are not as deeply cupped as others, but that is the nature of the plant. Great job, you've captured them well.

So,    :nono:   not so much of the negativity. Zip it  :-X and let the viewers decide. Glad we cleared that up!

:knuppel2: Now if I could only take my own advice!  :stress:      :2funny:
