I'm Luis from New Jersey and I started learning oil paint on February 1st of this year to stop 2 weeks later because I do like realism and I realized I need to learn drawing first (I love charcoal drawing as well). Always wanted to do this but work and kids stop me to do anything for a long time - excuses I know, now with a kid in college and the other one already done I found some time at night.

:bigwelcome: Hi Luis and welcome. You are in the right place  to learn to draw. Nolan's "Lets Draw" course is packed with valuable techniques. He takes you through step by step as you build confidence and experience. I can't wait to see your drawings.  ;)

:welcome: Paint Basket is a great place to learn and grow. Take it step by step and one day at a time. Just drawing something small everyday will improve your drawing a lot.
Nolan got a great course Lets Draw as Kathy indicated. A great foundation, you will surprise yourself how good you will get very fast.
I too love oil painting. You are in for the journey of your life, no stopping you now.
Happy  :painting: and drawing  ;)
