I am having trouble getting started with my berries can someone give me some guidance

Nolan could you explain for me how to get started with the berries. I am having trouble getting started with the veins in the first leaf. I read your response to Dannie but I am still confused with the veins.

To do the veins is actually not too difficult. Draw the leaf without the veins first, then come back and using the sharp edge of an eraser lift out the vein.

You will usually find that when you erase the vein it will be too thick, so just use the same pencil as you did for the leaf to "push the line back" until the vein is the correct thickness.

From there you can carefully add the shadow line to it using a harder pressure on the pencil or by using a softer pencil
