You may also be aware.  Today, I received an alert that a member has posted some copyright photos on PMP.  The implication is that any derivated work (painting) from those photographs may also violate the original photographer's copyright.  You may want to check if you used photos posted by a member with first name Christine.  PMP states this is rare and is taking action.

As often recommended on PB, nothing safer then using your own photos.

I got that this morning, too...good thing I've never used any of her photos for my paintings!

True enough. I prefer to use my own photos as it gives me a connection with what I'm working on. Rarely do I use other's photos unless it particularly takes my fancy AND I have permission to use it.
