Grapes, The Saga Continues!
« on: March 13, 2017, 08:02:21 AM »
 I honestly never thought I'd find myself here in Mixed Media! There just is no other place for it!  :2funny:

So far it has: graphite, charcoal, w/c, pen/ink, and now... pan pastels!!!  :faint: Did I mention w/c pencils, and pastel pencils? Silly me.

I checked back in the camera and did find this one photo from last week. It has progressed a bit further, but going to see if I can 'fix' a few things before updating again.

For anyone interested.... the beginnings of this  are to be found under w/c encourager section.  ;D

The Original.....

More Current....

    Coming along nicely Val. Every time I look at any of your paintings, I get the feeling that your strokes are so gently and lovingly painted. Beautiful.

I have to say, I love your grapes just as they are - very abstract and vibrant! Frame it in something fabulous and you're done!!

I don't know Mea.... I have severe doubts about this one!  :-\    Can't get enough variance in the purples, doesn't matter what I do it all looks the same to me unless I use white which only lightens the colour. Adding black looks really  :envy: . Tried some reds and blues..... think I'm going to have to find some of the blender. Really hoping when we take the ferry to Chetumal, Mexico there will be an art shop.

Patricia, ever my encourager. I have backed off this for a bit, my strokes have not been overly 'loving' of late  :furious: . I will find the solution eventually, what's another year or three?   :2funny:

Oh Sharon if only a frame would fix this! Frames and framers are very hard to come by in this neck of the woods.

I suppose one could look at it as an abstraction.... to me it just looks unfinished. I did have a vision of this... multiple times. Problem is my vision keeps changing, both mentally and physically!  :crazy2:    :coolsmiley:    :2funny:

One day.... it will be done!   :knight:

I just love what you are doing now. Your use of the warms and the colds at the ends and the transition section in the middle is superb. Whatever you do don't lose the feel of this

 Thank you Dennis... you have made Lloyd's day! He is killing himself laughing  :2funny: . After reading your comment I had to go and pull it out again for another look!  ::)

Lloyd: I thought you were done with that.... (again).
Moi: I am....I was.... for now. Well.... maybe.       ;D

I had put it away after another round  :fight: of calm and quiet contemplation and painting.      :painting:
Actually.....     :tickedoff:    :pullhair:       :hammer:     :cursing:       :hang:         :censored:      :2funny:

I'm going to try and lift off the newest damages and have yet another go! Dennis, if you think I can breathe life back into this sorry soul..... no point in arguing  :stress: , just have to get on with it!

I really do appreciate the fact that when you dish out a boot in the bum, you always wear your velvet ones!  ;)
Cheers, Val
