Hey, Rick, so good to see you again.

Thanks, 6 pix, I like that!  Hey, give gouache a try.  No need spend a lot.  WalMart has a relatively inexpensive Daler-Rowney set that I used with my senior citizens and it worked quite well.  I mostly use a 12-set of Holbein gouache that I got on Amazon (Prime).  I also have a 12-set of Winsor Newton Designers.

Gouache is so easy to work with.

    Mea, your practice Gouache pictures are beautiful.  I especially love the bottom right hand trees.  Great job and always so interesting to look at.

HELLOOOOOOO Val. :yippee:

Hi Mea. I have some gouache paints. They were given to me by a friend of another artist's forum board. I've played with them but haven't painted anything yet. Not sure I like the drying times of this medium. Way too fast.

Rick,

I just did this apple in gouache.

It was a very multi-layered process and the colors flow beautifully over one another.  Can dampen out hard edges with ease.  Had a couple mistakes but was able to fix them easily.

Used Holbein gouache paints on hemp paper.

Nice sketches Mea, my daughter is still unwell. She is old enough so that I am there only when she needs me.
Life is more exciting with art....

Thanks, EmmaLee.  The apple is for the teacher of a 7-year old friend.

Thanks, Maryna, I will work on that shadow.

Thanks, Gita, sorry that your daughter is not well.

Thanks, Patricia.  Small paintings are my thing.

Thanks, Win.   It's the first painting I have ever done in so many layers of color!  I am so pleased how it turned out.

Thanks, Sharon.Using the hemp paper seemed appropriate for this piece.

Thanks, KathyK.  It's fun to use a medium that very few people even know about.
