Hi friends,

OK some of you may know (and may even have the same problem) that my watercolour addiction has reached levels of somewhere near that of a drug habit! So with commissions not exactly rolling in, ive decided to try make some money out of my practice sketches by turning them into gift cards. My girlfriend sells lovely goodies ( www.earthings.co.za ) at various markets on most weekends and I being the devoted, loving, kind, compassionate, handsome boyfriend  :2funny: generally end up helping her. So i thought why not add a product to the table in the form of my artwork by making these gift cards. I get the mats cut by my local framer, mat the painting, package it with an envelope and plastic seal and hopefully from there sell something. If i can at least get money back to pay for my supplies I will consider it a success.

The  potential client gets a gift card that can be converted into a cute little painting and its all hand painted! Well thats the sales pitch anyways!

Just thought id share and get some love from you all...lol have a good one and wish me luck!

Keep well everyone!  O0

Trev,

I am such a fan of your work.  :cheering: :cheering:

I wish you all the best in this endeavor!!!

If I lived near you, I'd be the first in line at your table.  If you haven't already thought of it, do bring a little painting kit with you and be painting while at the market - just small things like book marks.  People love to buy something they've seen painted.

Brilliant Trev.  O0

You shall have no problem selling these. You have a wide and varied selection of subjects and styles all beautifully painted. I'm certain you will have something to exhibit for most people's tastes. Who doesn't like a one of a kind hand painted original?! I wish you much success in your endeavours.
Now with you being (as self described  ;) ) " the devoted, loving, kind, compassionate, handsome boyfriend  :2funny: ", am sure with your charisma and persona, will be a draw to both your, and your lovely lady's creative abilities. I would advise however that said lovely lady keep a leash on you!  ;)    ;D
Cheers, Val

Thanks Theresa, Gita and Dennis,

OK so due to time constraints i had to approach these with a bit of free abandon and looseness which was tons of fun. I actually learnt a lot by doing these. Ive tried to provide a broadish range so I may appeal to various people.

Will let you know how it goes  ;)

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Trev,

Those look great.  I especially like the two loose ones on the bottom.

Good luck.
