I just found this hint to aid in adding people to a watercolor painting.  I always shy away from adding people but I think this will help alot...I proabably am late to the party and you know this already, but maybe there are those who this will help. You start by making a carrot shape for the body/legs and adding a circle, dot for the head.  This can be modified as you wish..  People on horseback begin as a carrot shape with larger and smaller circle for torso and head add a dark line for the horses tail...fun stuff!

Mary Lou,

Yes, Mary Lou, I tried that a while back and did a couple good ones.

Glad you reminded me of it -- that will be today's doodle practice.

Thanks for sharing - yours look good.

Thanks for the inspiration, Mary Lou.

I doodled around last nite with some carrot shapes too.  Fun stuff.

Some of the heads look like they are facing in the wrong direction.  Need more practice..

Come on, PBers, add some more to our "Carrot Gallery."

Thanks, Val.  I particularly like the one of the guy with his hands in his pockets.  I am really understanding now what  negative painting is all about.

It is surprising how much negative painting can bring out in a painting. It's a fun exercise to play with. Keep at it!

Mea, it is wonderful to see you experiment.

Hey Brian, it is so good to see you popping in from time to time.

Happy that I inspired you all.  Mea, your doodling is great!  Fun stuff, right. Works with animals too.
