Zoom ⊕ Details Max.
I have just completed a portrait for my sister of her 3 year old grandson Max.  The original photo was taken while he was on a yacht in the Mediterranean.  He was looking out to sea and I hope was thinking ...."what a lucky little boy I am!"

How well drawn it is, Jillh.  Great hair.  Nice blending.

Thank you Mea!  Only 4h,2h,hb and 2b used. Only blending done with pencils. No stumps or q-tips used.  This little boy has red hair and a ruddy complexion.

Thank you Patricia.  I've been lurking in the background 😌  Keeping an eye on all the terrific work being done by PB members.  With all the baby sitting I had to do, it's just easier to carry my pencils  with me.  I have spent the year
learning "to see" and how to draw realistic portraits.

Thank you too Steve for your kind comment.

Beautifully drawn Jill. I just have one question... I'm seeing what looks like 3 white dots/lumps on his nose, is that shine/reflection? Just got pulled immediately to it.
Cheers, Val

Thanks for commenting Maryna, Paulaj, Danielle and Val.  Yes!  Val,  I know what you mean.  Had a bit of a challenge there because of the way the light plays on the nose and cheek,  however, I pleased to say the the original is fine.

:heeha: Wow Jill! Your drawing of Max is gorgeous.   :smitten: I love all the detail. The hair has such great texture. I now see just what you are talking about with darker values for contour. I am going to study your drawing and then look closer Clara's details. I admire your talent and appreciate the opportunity to learn from it.  :1hug:

Thank you Linda, Kathy, and Win for your lovely comments.  Kathy,  Max was difficult to do because the original was not very good.  The better the photograph is with higher definition the easier it is to see the details.
