Leana,
Your tree trunk looks fabulous, nice and bright.  I love your road that goes off into the distance.  Nice job.

Thank you so much Lilian  :)

Oh I can see many little areas where I can improve... for eg... could have brought in more colour variety into the midtones...like maybe some mid-tone yellow and mid-tone brown (ground patches)... also see where I can improve on my tree when I look at Dennis' painting... well... will keep those ideas in mind when I do the next one.

Hey! don't be too hard on yourself. You did that without the photo and completely by memory
Fantastic considering the circumstances.

Anyway, here is the photo (also in the other post)

:thankyou: Dennis for the picture to copy. Will we be able to see the live demo video at any stage again? Nothing like seeing the real thing again and your technique, colours, you used. Unlike Leana who done a great job from memory, need more visual  :help:

Olivia, once you have purchased a live class, you can go back and watch the recording again. (as many times as you want)  O0  It usually takes a couple days for the recording to be made. Nolan normally informs us through post and email when the recording is available. Then you just go to the paintbasket tv where they are saved.

Oh that's great news, seeing as it was such a cheap tutorial compared to the previous, I was thinking, maybe the picture to copy was it.  Wonderful Stuff.  :thankyou: What would we do without this great site! Totally addictive.

Thanks Dennis   :thankyou:

I will have to come back to trying your painting.  I'm working on my portrait right now.

But I did get a lot out of your video.  All those techniques you showed us will stick in my memory bank.  And that's saying something.   :2funny:

Can't watch the videos at present but did get the pdf and your painting photo. The colours in those trees are magnificent...just can't beat mother nature!

Excellent work Leana   I was amazed when I saw the pdf for the program, incredible trees. Not sure when I'll be able to watch the video but I may just have a go anyway.
Wonderful job from memory.....I happen to have a perfect memory.....just the recall is a bit lacking!

Hi,
I really enjoyed the art class I took with Dennis.  I am not really very artsy, I am rather a computer geek but art relaxes me.  Considering I've only done about 5 painting classes before Dennis's class, I'm very happy with the results even though I know I made a lot of mistakes.  Colour Saturation... My blue gum tree isn't great either but I had a ball and learned a lot.  By the end, I was finally getting the touch of how to use the 'hardware' brush.  I'll get a better one when I hit the hardware store this week.

My painting is posted in my album.

I'd love to see any that others made, too.  Is there a place to post our "Course masterpieces" ?

Thank you, Dennis, for such a fun course. :thankyou:
