Thank you for your comments and encouragements.
I also enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing some posts of your versions of the painting.

Could not open picture - kept on getting index.php even though it is a jpeg file :tickedoff:
Looks like you did very well from what I can see in the small photo. You really are an "art-addict"   Glad you enjoyed the lesson.

Retha - Baie dankie  :)

Dennis - I think the reason it doesn't open  :( is because it is a very high resolution... 300ppi.  What I will do tomorrow is take a photo during daylight...then there shouldn't be any reflections and then I will reduce the file again, like I did tonite and reduce the ppi to 72... maybe that will work then... we hope.

Leana it is not the resolution. It is something else happening in my computer.

I really enjoyed it too ... I'm still amazed Denis did most of that painting with that hardware brush  :D

I'd love to have a go, do you have a reference photo for us Denis?

Anita, I will add the photo of that painting later on in the day. I have a class coming up in a few minutes time.

Love it Leana! Great job...excellant work O0
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

You all make my heart sing and my fingers itch to grab a brush and paint, paint, paint.  Thank you so much for your comments... it is sooo encouraging.  I really was in a rut (a bad one, couldn't paint for a while)...and with the help of PaintBasket, our 2 awesome teachers >Dennis and Nolan, the fabulous members in this forum... You have helped me to get out of that rut... so I would like to say a HUGE  :thankyou: to you all...

Dennis, might not be your computer.  I noticed on my computer...when you click on the folder at the bottom of your screen... it brings up in the left margin 'downloads' 'favourites' etc...  normally under 'libraries' you get sub libraries of your 'Documents', 'Photos' etc... mine are gone.  I have to click on the top bar where it shows >libraries>documents etc.  then go to my name...there it shows all my 'libraries'... don't know how that changes... to the link to the photo is pretty long I think...

Not quite sure how to rectify this 'problem' and how it got to be like that  :tickedoff:

I think I need to try and sort the above out first, then upload a better photo taken in daylight...which should not have reflections.

Took another photo now... in daylight, so the reflections should be less.  Hope you can open it Dennis  :).

Edit:> Dennis...  I clicked on the uploaded photo... and it doesn't want to 'open' up either... must be something wrong on my side  :( :'(... not sure what to do to rectify the situation.  :banghead:

Edit2> Uploaded the photo in my gallery now...there is a bigger photo and can be 'enlarged'
