I also did this one  when trying the monthly challenge.  It is very difficult to capture the details in the snowflake with hue of blue and green.

Watercolour snowflake on a deep blue oil background.  I am very pleased with my black made of primary colours, and for not messing up the pale flake.  That was a lot of concentration.

Yes, primary only.  Each crystal is progressive blend of light blue on one half and light green on the other.  But mostly proud of my deep background  :2funny:

I cannot reply to you on the challenge.  But yes, I painted very patiently the background in oil after the WC snowflake was dry...  very carefully and was turning blue holding my breath  :2funny:

 :clap: :clap: :clap:  Annie, I just love the fact that your background turned out so well with just primary colours.  I can imagine how careful you must have been to paint around the snowflake. Anyway, you have done a great job.
