Thanks Sharon and Gita. No worries Val, I know my NJ NJ girl makes people think I'm ninja or Nina...Thank you Dennis it is nice to be able to leave things and return later instead of putting them away all the time plus I have much more natural light which is also a blessing

Mary Lou, I am in hopes we will finally be able to access the rest of the materials we need to make my 'studio' become reality. I too can hardly wait for the day when I don't have to pack everything away all the time.
Lloyd says he understands it disturbs my 'natural flow' ..... so we'd best hurry 'cause I am overflowing!!!  :2funny:
Cheers, Val

Hi Mary Lou, I found your post today while I was looking for something else.

Belated congratulations on your move, and mostly on the fact that you now have your own space to paint.
Regarding ur frame vendor, you may wish to shop at Michael's when you need just a simple frame to protect and showcase your work. They offer a very economical line by Decor Studio. If you wait for a sale, they run at about $5.00 each for the 11" x 14" size.  (40% off or 2 for the price of 1) I make my own mats from poster board purchased at the Dollar Tree store, I can make 6 mats from each board.  Remember, this method is good as a protective measure only.  When you are ready for a "Reveal", or wish to gift them, a more suitable frame may be appropriate.
I am a firm believer of "Spending only when necessary" so that I can splurge when something  special comes along.
Hope I did not overstep my boundaries by offering unsolicited advice.

Thanks Maria, I think that is great advice.  I have a great framer who will work with me on price but agree with you wholeheartedly that when you just want to protect a painting, an inexpensive frame will work just fine.  Thank you!

Oh! Maria, I have just read your post and honestly, don't ever hold back on anything which could save us money or time and which could ultimately help us all in any or whichever way. I am sure that I speak for all of us and we are so appreciative for any advice whether it is to do with art or saving, for that is how we can all benefit.  Thanks for letting us all know.
