We were woken up at 12:05 by an earthquake. The whole house felt as if it had been transported to a ship riding the storm. The rolling carried on for 2 or 3 minutes. Just to let you all know that we are all OK. Still have to hear from the family down in Christchurch. No damage our side.

:thankyou:   Dennis for letting us know that you are safe, praise God and I hope that you can say the same about the rest of your family.  I have just posted a message for I hadn't seen this one. Please keep us informed and I will be lifting you all up in prayer.

I echo Patricia's sentiments, Dennis.

Our New Zealand friends are in our thoughts - prayers for safety and no damage.

 Oh my stars! Thank goodness and my holey socks you are all safe and sound. Good to know you purchased a good strong house! Prayers the south island was not hit too hard, although Lloyd just showed me some pictures of a roadway in Christchurch split open. Hoping the family down there is ok.

Give Anna, Nolan, Mel and the kids big hugs.     Scary stuff.
Cheers, Val

We heard the news and my first thoughts were of you and Nolan and your families.  Praying all is well with those in Christchurch. So happy to hear that you are okay.  What frightening news!   Be safe.

Thanks for telling us.  We knew there was also a risk of sunami.  I only experience mild to moderate hearthquakes... and always in daytime.  Must be terrifying to wake up in the dark to a big one.

Happy you are fine.  Not everyone will be.
Cheers, Annie

Dennis - wonderful news you're ok - I hope the rest of your family is, too. Such a scary thing!
