I drew this for a friend upon his wish. This is drawn from a picture taken in India in 1911 showing the Rolls-Royce-Depot in Bombay. This model is called Landaulet. Due to the royal patronage Rolls-Royce was the leading car manufacturers in the Indian subcontinent.

Drawn in pen and ink with an ink wash.

BEAUTIFUL, Gita.

What a fascinating subject.  I am always awed by works that are full of such tiny details, so perfectly done.

The only aspect that you might want to avoid in the future is having situations like the one where the man is standing exactly under the light fixture, making it appear that he is wearing a very tall hat.

Regardless of that, you have done an incredible job on this and the man who requested it will be so pleased.

aloha

Oh, Gita, now I see what you mean.  I wonder what the significance is for the guard to wear such a tall hat?

I really do like this p n i.

Thank you Patricia! Your compliment does feel good!

Mea, maybe things were very british back in 1911 in India. This could be an imitation of the tall fur hat worn by the British Royal Guards.  Or Maybe even a helmet which resembles an indian Turban?  :2funny: :2funny:
