"I think a pencil in your hand becomes a magic wand Kathy"  Very well said Win for I have always maintained that Kathy's pencil work is outstanding, she has a gift for sure.

 :thankyou: Jay

I'm having a blast. Now I'm choosing to make the time to do one of my own drawings  in between each lesson. I'm happily addicted to the lessons yet I know it is time to create more of my own work.  ;)

Woa!  You are getting really good

And good for you to start doing your own composition... I am not there yet.  Still doing mostly classes.
Cheers, Annie

Your art is beautiful, Annie.  :1hug: I believe you would make a lovely painting on your own. I think the key for this one is that it is of a photo that I look at daily on my computer screen. I already felt connected with every shape and shadow.  ;)

This colored pencil painting, Sonny,  is done in Prismacolor pencils on Mi-Teints artboard.  The background is acrylic.

    Kathy, you are doing such splendid work with the coloured pencils and what a pleasure to view them. Do you find that the artboard eats up your pencils quickly?  I read somewhere that people have found it to be the case.  Anyway, I just love what you are doing.

:thankyou: Thank you Steve and Patricia.
I liked working on the art board. It may have used more pencil but it was great to have enough tooth in the surface to get plenty of layers of color. It makes for nice blending .  O0
