This is great Dennis... I'm seeing a few areas similar to what happens in some of my paintings, maybe not all mistakes on my part after all?!  ::)
In the tree on the left I'm seeing something like a bird or monkey in the upper right crux...or one of those socalled happy accidents? Also down by the rock above the indent in the river I get the impression of some type of wading bird.
This is fabulous the way the colours in the background trees/bushes just meld into one another....
I'm REALLY hopping now! Come on January!  :yippee:   :twothumbs:  :heeha:
Cheers, Val

Great painting Dennis. Beautiful. Val, when you start seeing stuff like that it's time to close the liquor cabinet and to to bed.
If not now, when? If not me, who?

It's beautiful Dennis.  I too can't wait to get in on your classes.  I love watercolor but I have a lot to learn.

Busy cleaning the Studio and came across this one stuck away among the papers. A small quick sketch of a Gum Tree (11x16 cm)(4x6") Was a preliminary sketch for a larger painting that somehow never got done.

The same size you see it in the screen.

They are really beautiful Dennis...love them  O0

I am also looking forward to the watercolour courses next year... I've got watercolours... had them a few years (hopefully won't get old)... got some tubes and W&N half-pans.  Did 1 poppy painting years ago and then another about a year ago ...  used white gouche and some watercolour pencil in the last one too... last one was of a kingfisher and was a birthday card for my Mother-in-law... and that was as far as I got with watercolour lol...
