This rare and probably the only opportunity to see a collection of Leonardo Da Vinci's art works in one place. (Although the Mona Lisa won't be there), can be viewed at the London National Gallery between 9 Nov 2011 to 5th Feb 2012. Here are the links:

I'm not sure if the newly found  'Salvator Mundi' will be on display but, I hear it may be. Here are 2 videos:

I know very little about art. It's never interested me in the past but, after finding Paintbasket, I'm learning a little about it.
I must say, this guys was pretty good, IMHO.

:thankyou: Topdog for sharing this find.

I saw some of his work including the Mona Lisa. I was completly frozen in front of his work. A genius. Must see show. Words cannot describe the feeling.
If not now, when? If not me, who?

I have recently been reading conflicting reports on how long it took him to paint the Mona Lisa, anywhere from 4-10 years.

From what I have read he would put the painting aside for long periods of time and then go back to it.

Was that from discouragement and/or frustration?

I'm very tempted to travel 200 miles to London for this (in the UK everything is London based and it really annoys me!).
It's a rare opportunity and, Da Vinci is my favourite Artist. It's just a shame the 'Mona Lisa aint gonna be there. I'd also like to have been sure that the 'Salvator Mundi' was gonna be on display too.
Thanks for comments replies.  :)

Hi Val, no, we didn't go. I might have done had the Mona Lisa been there. Removing the jewel in the crown of his works wasn't the best idea!
