Ok, so just to prove what I had said about 'horrific' results when you rush through without thinking, waiting, and just plain being a silly git.  :eyesclosed:      :faint:
Here's just one...  :envy:
 :hang:

Dennis...please don't  :twoguns:

Val, all is not lost.  It may not be what you expected, but I think you can still recover it.  The background could be "out of focus" colours.  The area on top of the flower (in blue) may be lifted out, right?  Hang in there Val!  :gl2:

Kelley, you far too kind. This is my first attempt at 'loose' painting...just got a little looser than planned.  ::)
Its supposed to look like that....sort of. :2funny:  :2funny:

Val, I've checked your painting against the original one and you have actually done very well. Just lift out the heavy blue and you will be almost like the other original. Do that and re-post.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Some where out there ( humm, I believe there's a song that starts like that ) some people love your artwork you've created.  :smitten:

I also think you have done a great job - pretty close to the original O0

Agree about refining the blue at the top to re-establish the edge of the sunflower, then you could also add an extra shadow here the there for found lines to the bottom petals to help define them

All in all a great rendition of the original Val

Val when I first saw your painting I thought, "Wow I like this one".   I think after you have done what Nolan and Dennis suggested it will be a winner.  Well done!

Amazing... ???  and here I was out doing knee bends this morning to improve my ducking ability!  :2funny:
Alright then, I'll take it out of my 'don't do that again' bin and see what can be done. At least I'm not frightened of going at this one...I'd already written it off!  ;D
I shall take another look, and give it my best   :promise:

I've lifted out the blue from the top as best I can. Looks pretty scary at this point so I'm going to try putting a few more petals in once its dry. Then I'll post it. Wish me luck....
