Those are beautiful paintings C. My favorite is the tulip, I really like the colors. The other one is really good too and

they both look very nice in the frames. Congratulations to you!

:thankyou: , Ifubah.  Nolan and Dennis are such great teachers. I never thought I would be able to paint.  Those are my first two oil paintings. I'm very fortunate to also be a volunteer in a frame shop and wood shop, so I get my materials at employee rate or sometimes even free!!! That's good, but...... I am so excited about learning that I am framing EVERYTHING!!!!! I should only frame the really good ones or I'm going to run out of wall space!!!  :2funny:  :2funny:

C, that's so beautiful!!!

If I were you, I'd hang on to that for dear life.  Don't give it away!  Don't sell it even for a million $$$$!

The frame and the mat are perfect and enhance your already perfect painting.   :)   :1hug:

Thank you, Lillian. :) The photo I took wasn't very good. You can see lots of reflections in the glass.( Couch, light etc...)  I was pretty happy with the way this one turned out.  (couple of small issues I would like to change, but....)I really appreciate the lessons I'm getting on here.  I would never have been able to do this at all without them!

Hi C. Your tulips look splendid framed.  Never realised how expensive framing cost, will have to learn DIY route!

Thank you, Olivia.  Actually, you can get pre-made frames in art stores that will work just fine.  They aren't that expensive.  It's when you start ordering custom made framing that runs the bill up.  I wouldn't be getting them this way either, if it wasn't for the fact I get such a great deal!

Talking of frames, a friend just e-mailed, told me to get down to our Oxfam charity shop, she saw a whole box of frames put out on Saturday!  Guess where I'm off to after the school run in the morning, let you know how I get on. May as well have a look, for a 16x12  bespoke, they want 65Euros! Thats for a plain pine one.

Thank you, Val. I have been very surprised by what Nolan and Dennis have been able to teach a total novice like me!

Although, (don't tell anyone.... ;) ) I haven't posted any of the really bad ones, so your perception of my abilities is skewed!    ;D
