  • SMILE, It's a brand new day!
on: October 27, 2011, 12:49:49 PM
Hi All
There are a few of us who need some inspiration and suggestions on what to do with our signature(s).
See if you can come up with something to help us along.

My name .... Val Watts
Initials ....    V. A. W.
I don't want to even see anything related to a VW volkswagon symbol!  :knuppel2:
Let the creativity flow!

Edit by Nolan - There are two signature threads, so to tie them together HERE is the link to cool artist signatures other have found which everybody can use as inspiration when designing their signature

Well, VW, have you thought about attaching the V to the W then crossing the two to make an A?

Just for fun, I fooled around with this for Val. I like her straight lines and these don't look like Indian Tee Pee's. Looks more like mountains to me and one's got an ice cap on it.

I love the sig you have on your sunset painting as you have it now, CB. It's beautiful.  O0
I'd have no troubles identifying your sig with you, 20 years down the road.
Only thing I might add to it would be the, odine and use the heart as the dot for the 'i', is all but, it doesn't need it, IMO.

Thanks Rick, I messed with that for a while.  :thankyou:  Stretching it out, crunching it in..... Just didn't like 'wavy' line concept. Might try something with initial and last name.
Cheers, Val

:) Thanks, Rick.  Simple, but fairly easy to do.  I do like your suggestion, as well.

I've painting, doodling, drawing etc. for all my life. My name is Claude Thibault. As a lad I would sign Tybo on cartoons and ugly paintings. Than as I got older and wiser, I signed my name in full. Now that I am REALLY OLD and REALLY WISE I went for a script "Claude T." and I think it is cool and mature. So Val, why not save yourself a few decades and move right away to "Val W." Just a suggestion!
If not now, when? If not me, who?

Hey, Claude, I like Tybo. Great ID, IMO. Maybe even Tybolt...  O0 Now that you're older and wiser... who really gives a darn anymore.

Great suggestions Rick.

C, I really like Ricks suggestion for you, it looks classy like that.

Claude - I also like Tybo or Tybolt, very unique and has a fresh sound to it.

Looks great C.B.   I still block in my signature. I just ordered this pen. I hope it does the job so I can sign it rather than block it.
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

Did this on photoshop, but what do you think of something like this? My last name is McMullen .
Would this be sufficient enough??
