:heeha: Patricia, your gorilla is gorgeous! He has such a soulful expression. I can almost feel his fur because he looks so lifelike.

:thankyou:   :thankyou: :thankyou:  so very much Danielle, Mea and Fi for your wonderful comments.

Danielle, I wish I was an energy bunny, I could do with some of his batteries to get me moving!

Mea, thanks for the compliment about my new avatar.  A change is as good as a holiday.

Fi, I had to laugh about the gorilla's expression reminding you of your late husband when he was thinking. I have  seen a lot of people frown when thinking deeply - the anthropoids are so human-like and are rather fascinating.  Thanks too for your encouragement. I enjoy pastels and find them very forgiving.

Sorry I missed this painting.....it's WONDERFUL!!!  You really captured the feel of the picture, and the gentleness in his eyes of this magnificent animal.  Great job, Lady.

Patricia, I was missing seeing your animals so I had to go hunting for a recent project from you.

Wow, I love this gorilla. As always your technical skills always amaze me (and I agree, you're a master artist of animals) but what I love even more is the way you're able to give such depth to their expression. It makes me personally care for the animal.

By the way, I keep meaning to mention, your (sort of) new avatar looks just fabulous!!!

:thankyou:  so much Denise, you are so precious and I appreciate your comments more than you can know. I certainly wish I was a master artist of animals because I am such an animal lover and really enjoy painting them all.  Thanks too for your lovely comments about my new avatar. I thought a change would be nice although the picture isn't that great but perhaps at a later date, I will get my daughter to take a better photograph.
