Zach, you are very, very talented!  Awesome pictures - logo, very professional.  If I were to put any input, because you asked...I would like to see the cat "pop" more, and the flag (very now by the way)...is center the best position?  These are very minor items as I too have tried photography, but I know where touch the talent you have.  So very, very awesome - way cool Zach!

  Well done, Zach, very well done indeed!! O0 O0 O0
I agree with Marsha on your logo . . . . .sweet!!
I also agree with her about the cat.  But, CATS are very hard to make stand still for photographs lol!  ::)
The position of the flag is fine, quite powerful in fact. .
What I really love, is they way you caught the sunlight on the horse's coat!! Sunlight and shadows- - -  just fantastic! In fact that whole scene is very appealing, and very paintable. . . .  :painting: with the Goats (?) playing in the background

:thankyou: Marsha, i agree about the cat,  I had a much better version of it but I think I deleted it on accident.  And thanks for encouraging words,  I love photography so i appreciate hearing people say they like my work

:thankyou: Bev,  ya I love the flag one and the horse one is one of my favorites,  I don't about the goats though,  I was actually driving down the road and I saw the horse so I pulled over ran back and took the pics,  the dumb goats got in the way hahaha.

:thankyou: ncwren,  it took me a while to figure out how I wanted to do my logo haha

This is an example of "reading position"... from what I remember from high school (over 40 years ago), the eye automatically lowers the center of the picture so you place it up a little to compensate for this.  It is a great picture no matter what!  Since I cut of the top, I moved in the sides in, but not good.
Just a thought.

:thankyou: Marsha,  that does look better,  I'm gonna give that a try,  I usually use the rule of two thirds when composing the pictures but this one I just set right in the center, but I like how yours looks better,  it just seems more natural for the eye

It actually was from a typing class in high school.  Reading position was two lines (I believe) up.  You notice,, also, it can be used when matting, though I find it easier to do equal sides.

Natalie - I remember reading something in my matting book (THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO BASIC MAT CUTTING by Vivian c. Ckistler, CPF).  There wasn't much but the following:  "...Even-border mats are attractive and they provide that important sense of balance for many art work pieces.

Another style of mat, often considered traditional, is weighted at the bottom with an extra width of matting.  Some people feel strongly about which of the two styles they prefer; others make their selection based on the best presentation for each piece."

The example of standard sizes was for an 8" x 10" picture, was a 16" x 20" mat - one mat was cut 4"x5"x4"x5" and the other 4"x4"x4"x6" - 6" being on the bottom.
