What a fun drawing.  Love the plumb little legs.  (Glad they are not mine.)

This picture is taken from one of w/c class PDF.

I was not sure where to post this picture as this done combination of PnI and water colour paint.

I  initially started with PnI, the darker shadows were all done using black ink followed by Al crimson, and the greens+ Ultramarine blue for background.

Any C & C welcome.

Cyril,

Maybe we need to have a MIXED MEDIA CATEGORY on the forum.

I like your flower.  Nice depth in the petals.

I really like the texture on the petals-velvet like.
The background feels too dark.
The composition would be improved by cropping so that all four sides of the flower are touching or cropped out. Nolan has a detailed explanation in the gerber daisy oil class.

:thankyou: Mea , Louisa , Natalie , Sally Bellarina...

Natalie , i dont think have purchased that class "daisy class".
i didn't knew, we could use  oil classes techniques  in water color paintings ?   :)  :thankyou: for that info.

Not all techniques can be matched exactly....as I found out the hard way!    However most of the techniques all cross over nicely with the other mediums. Once you have the basics you can take classes from any of the mediums and apply them to your favourite medium.  O0

The faster I go the behinder I get!!  :run:    ;D So many more things to paint, draw, scratch and pastelize(?)  :2funny:

Not so much technique as composition. I'd try to explain, but I just don't seem to do a very good job of that...

Love your flower Cyril.!!  I do ink with a watercolor wash alot and have posted them under pen and ink and I have also posted under watercolor, never knowing which is right but I think it doesn't matter.

I think ink and then watercolor is such fun to do!  I like your work.

Remember, when you do a pen and ink wash, the watercolour is added only as a very THIN and transparent wash. The ink drawing must be more prominent than the watercolour.

I see that the tendency of most of you are adding the watercolour so intense such that the ink drawing simply vanishes so that it becomes a watercolour painting instead of a pen and ink wash. Study the Giraffe lesson again.

The watercolour application must be such that if you had to remove the ink drawing, the underlying watercolour would not make sense on its own.
