In order for me to easily find and answer queries about this Lesson I will appreciate it if everyone will keep these  to this specific Lesson Posting only. This will also be of benefit to you as well in the future.  Thanks

Hi
I had a go at the farmhouse .  A few slanting walls but I was really happy with it because I thought it looked way to complicated for me to attempt ... Dennis of course made the whole thing easy to follow as usual.  Thanks:)
PS  Dennis I think you forgot to add the fence in during the lesson so I did that all by myself  ;D

:thankyou: to all you lovely people for your comments , enjoyed doing this and will have a go at doing the dog next but I may not get it done for a couple of weeks yet as I am off to Fiji next week for a drawing and sketching workshop, botanical art in the mornings and sketching around Savu in the afternoons, should be fun and hope to learn a lot.

:thankyou: Val and Dennis , I love these sort of holidays and do one each year mainly W/C ones as these are readily available but I have always loved drawing and doing flowers so this should be just my cup of tea. Enjoyed the Farmhouse Dennis but because I had done my first one freehand I had problems with the roof , hoping the dog will turn out okay as I will try freehand in pencil and see how it goes. Will let you know how my trip went when I return so bye for now.

Nicely done Cyril.    One thing that is throwing me off a bit... I think it's the vertical on the left corner of the housefront, seems to be off just a bit. Makes me feel as though the front section is leaning backward.

Sherri,

Wow, so much work in this.  You do such good detailing.

I can't figure out a few of your cross-hatched areas  - are they shadings?  The ones in front of the porch look more like screens.  The one on the right side of the house looks like mesh protecting the plantings from snow.

Or maybe my eyes are just tired.

Good work, though.

Beautiful Sharon.  Are you using special paper made for pen and ink?

Sharon,

Lovely work on the farm house.  Your work is so precise.  Impressive.

I have not had the slightest itch yet to try pen and ink, but I can see where mastering it would really help when working  in other media.

Could I suggest Bristol smooth.

I have been looking into Dennis's classes but never saw the suggested paper.
My daughter has been using the above and likes it a lot.  But she's planning on using colored markers to finish the piece and found copy paper bled really bad.  That's why I'm asking.

Here's the real final version with the poles out front!

Thanks everyone for the complements - and I'm glad my sketchbook with copy like paper in it works for now! When I get to the watercolor elements I'll move to watercolor paper...

So far no bleeding, Robin!

My daughter experienced no bleeding as well, until she started to use Copic markers.

Looks great, Sharon.

Oh, dear, I thought bleeding meant through her fingers!  Like the markers were toxic, or something.  DUH!
Glad I read a little further.
