Title: Proud Prince
Post by: Tezza1258 on September 09, 2017, 11:45:59 PM
Well...I thought a normal peacock was a challeng.. :2funny: :idiot2:
This is a big painting. I used mirror paint for the eyes of the feathers and highlights.
It cost a fortune...(the mirror paint) but you only need a little for it to go a long way....especially on my hands and clothes!

Love the blue background as contrast. I've never heard of mirror paint. Sounds intriguing.

Terri

Clever way to paint a peacock.  Brilliant white.

I googled "mirror paint" but all I could find was spray paint by Krylon or Rustoleum.  I assume you used something different to get better control.

Thank you everyone, for your kind remarks.
Here is a photo of the liquid mirror.
It is the most expensive polymer emulsion. $80 for 120 mls.
But I think it will last forever because you only need very little.

:thankyou:  Terri for posting the container.  Must say again that I have never heard of it and was interested to know more about it. I will Google it now that I know the name.  Thanks for the information.

This is amazing!!! I guess after I master oil painting I'll need to try acrylics - you make them look like such fun to paint with!
