Title: Easy Sketch Tool
Post by: Straynative on August 24, 2017, 07:13:32 AM
Hi all,

Im trying a watercolour portrait project where im going for a realistic feel as a challenge. So i didnt want to muck around free hand for the sketch as I want to focus on getting the painting solid and wanted a good base sketch. I found this tool which makes a decent sketch without much effort. And its free so i thought id share

Thanks for sharing that, Trev.  I have bookmarked it for future reference.

For getting the actual image onto your canvas, the tracing method using the self-made transfer paper of wax paper works like a charm.  I made my transfer (size of a standard printing paper sheet) more than three years ago and am still using it!  Also made a smaller one for 4 x 6" size works.

Here's how to do it.

Use rubbing alcohol in place of those more flammable liquids.

Hi,Win.
It's an online resource. You upload a photo, pencil it (as they call it) and then download the pencil image to use.
