Title: Comparing Reds
Post by: linley.plester on July 25, 2017, 03:58:36 AM

I seem to have accumulated a lot of watercolour reds of various brands so I decided to try and put them all together to see how they compared. I don't think I really discovered much but I had fun.

It is good!
What I like is that you started with an 'assignment' and see where it brings you.  I have a friend who say things like "this month I only use 2 complementary colors plus B and W",  "this month I only use blue as my main colour", "this month I only use harmonized colors with red, etc.

This turned out quite well didn't it?  O0   This is a great way to learn a lot about glazing as well.

Linley,

What a fun way to "chart" your colors.  Way more exciting than square boxes.

Good for you!  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Love this.  Looks like modern stained glass!

Why,  :thankyou: All. I'm glad you like it. I've told myself to try it with my blues and my yellows etc, but I need a round-to-it.

Reminds me of stained glass! At least you have reds you have gathered, I for some reason have lots of browns! lol

Trev... browns are tricky.... So far I've stuck to earth browns and attempting to mix them with my vast selection of reds and a few greens.  A collection of browns sounds enticing.... Hmmmmm..... :painting:
