Title: Light fastness test a failure, but it shows up poor quality paper!
Post by: linley.plester on June 12, 2017, 01:02:38 AM
I wanted to check one or two of my watercolours for light fastness and set a test sample on a sunny window sill. The light fastness test was a failure because after only2 months the window leaked  but it did reveal what dreadful quality paper I was using!
:uglystupid2:

It's never a waste if you learn something from it.

Val, Cool experiment.

I did something like that with oil paints and the Reeves colors faded worse than any of the others.

Ge, we are becoming more like scientists than artists.
