William, I have a large roll of primed canvas (fine weave) and have taped a piece to another canvas panel just for a support.

here it is, I had fun painting this lesson, also painting myself in the process,  I find it stressing to try to go fast so my paint does not dry on me.  I did it on a watercolour paper primed with gesso, not the best result but good for practice.  i struggled with the shoreline and the part of water between bushes. Advice welcome.
:thankyou: Dennis for the lesson and the wonderfull challenge you have given me for the year.   :1hug:

Danielle is beautiful. I am still struggling with. Hopefully I'll be able to finish tomorrow. Danielle, if you look at Joann fabrics or Michaels they have blocks of canvas paper. It is great for practice.  :flowers:

Well I went ahead and did give this one a try but I used my beloved oils. I hope that's okay. I hope it's okay to put it on this thread too. I had a lot of fun on this one. For some reason I got a row of ghostly tree's in the front of the back row and don't know how to fix it or even if I should?? What do you all think? Should I say I did this on purpose! :2funny:  also I amazed myself by painting the big duck freehand just like it was no problem at all!! easy peasy!! didn't think twice!!! what is happening?????  :2funny: Thanks so much Dennis for a really nice class. I would love to hear some comments and critiques.

Robynann,

I like the ghostly trees. Thought they were supposed to be there.  Love the whole shrouded, misty  look in the background.

Duck looks fine, just need to see his legs a bit more defined.

Good work on this.

Of course you did it on purpose, it's always good to make a painting your own... dare to be different.  ;)

What is happening?.....  :heeha:   You've become a wonderfully learned artist!  O0

Love these paintings of the misty lakes.

Well done Lousia and Danielle

Robynann good painting   , however  your duck looks like it is starting to walk out of the water, so I agree with Mea that it needs some legs.

   Just move the shadow to right under the duck's body. That will make it swimming instead of trying to stand in deep water
