This is a masterpiece, Pat!  I love the mood.  ...looks like a painting from the Romantic era.
Congratulations on being the Featured Artist in this week's Newsletter!  So well deserved!

You should explain in your title what this image really is so as not to mislead anyone.  You are a digital artist and this is a digital photo painting.

Focus on learning to do physical work -  on real paper or canvas with actual painting and drawing instruments and your digital paintings will improve, too.  You need to learn the basics of modeling and drawing in order to be first rate, the same as any artist.

Take Dennis & Nolan's classes, keep up the practicing and you will be glad you did.

Good luck, but be sure to add a note in the title that these are photo manipulations - most of the people here have never even heard of it.  Go to http://www.deviantart.com/, that's where you should be!  You will get the input you need there.

PS - They can be brutal there, I can see why you are here.

Oh boy, I am confused, thought this was a photograph of which you decided it isn't a good subject to pick for a painting, since the photograph is an artwork in itself.
But nevertheless... congrats on being the featured artist of the week.
