Wow Val.  Thanks for this.  I had such an emotional reaction when seeing it.  I think I only feel grounded when I am surrounded by nature like this and i haven't been able to focus on it's beauty in far too long.  I remember my hiking days where I would wake up on a mountain, stare at the sky for an hour and have that feeling that I needed absolutely nothing else than what I saw before me.  Your picture reminds me of that feeling.

I would say thank you Lynn & Jani....but I really can't take credit for this. I just happened to be here.

I understand your feeling Lynn, it just fills you up. Sunrise and Sunset, I try never to miss either. They are never the same twice. We are blocked from the west so I seldom see a sunset from here, but the sunrises just hold me and fill me with their colour and promise. I intend never to miss one until the day my sight fails, but I'll always have them firmly engrained in  my memory. I am so pleased that my photo rekindles that feeling for you.
Cheers, Val

Maria, I am happy that looking at this sunrise gives you such pleasures. I used to have thousands of sunrise and sunset photos before the old computer crashed. I think I still have possibly a few hundred on one of the old drives. I shall have to sort through and post some in the ref. section. Perhaps Nolan will be able to use them on the new site.

Thank you so much Josh. I believe that you could do this justice.

I would like to try painting this myself....I need lots of practice on my skies....I will get there!
