Snap lid Tortilla storage container.  The bottom ridges are a bit of a problem.

You want to get something shallow.

Next Step
Fold at least 3 full size paper towels along their tear off line.  Wet the stack of paper towels and fold the corners so it fits around the bottom.  Its ok to have the paper towels form a low lipped bowl.

Last Step
Tear off a piece of either wax paper or parchment papers that's larger than the container bottom.  Set the lid on top of the paper and use a blade to score/cut the paper around the lid.  This lets the palette have a low lip which helps keep the paint contained.

Palette With Sanded-Edge Glass Insert
This is shown being used as an oil paint palette.

To use it for acrylics fold three or four wet paper towels atop the glass then place a sheet of wax paper, parchment or baking paper, or vellum on top.  I do suggest putting the latter so it is like a cup or bowl to keep the paint in place.
