JennyLynn! ( I believe I have said that in another post, but just in case) Well you are correct in wanting to learn color mixing first! Here's a video Nolan has done on this subject. It is fantastic and very easy to understand. After that, there are a few free wc lessons that Dennis has done. (There are also some wonderful free oil classes)

Dennis, how do you 'anchor' your paint pans? Masking fluid?
I'm having a heck of a time with the tubes I bought...they seem to curdle when I mix them, and the little pieces stick to the brush, so I bought a small set of Winsor & Newton field pack of pans. They keep poppin sideways, so I was wondering what to anchor them with, and so I can still close the lid.
Thank you, Sir Dennis! (After 50 years of marriage, you are Sir and Lady Clark!!)

It doesn't matter if your glass is 1/2 full or 1/2 empty. Drink up and get a refill.

It looks like you really bought yourself some cheap paints for that to happen.
Good for you on buying better quality.
I use BlueTac, Prestic - not sure what they call it in your country but it the kneadable type putty mixture used to stick down things with.

Yeah...that was my first set of paints....didn't know much about them!! That's one of the reasons I'm 'behind'....I get so frustrated with the colors and the outcome.
Thanks...I'll see if I can find some putty, or nearest to it. Ha ha....chewing gum, if I hafta'!!

Wow...what a difference with these pot paints!! I bought Daler-Rowney tube paints, and thought they were okay, but maybe had gotten frozen on the trip to my mailbox. Anyway, I'll sure stick to pots from now on. They are terrific and it only takes a minute or so, instead of five or ten frustrating ones, to get the color I need, and it isn't stuck in my brush. Jeepers...I may even be able to keep up to Dennis!!
